General troubleshooting guide common products :

 E46 M3 :

-Always check and make sure no error codes are present.
-During kit install, replace fuel filter with new OEM fuel filter.
-Make sure vacuum line from engine vacuum rail is connected to FPR without any leaks.
-If you have more than 50k miles on the OEM fuel pump, then replace it with a new OEM fuel pump.
-Do NOT under any circumstance run any other fuel pump, especially not a 340/400LPH pump as this will over power the regulator system
and cause massive fuel pressure at idle and low loads which will result in poor operating performance and incorrect adaptations.
-Idle fuel pressure should be ~3.1bar when all is correct and ~4bar at full load/RPM.
-If you have misfires or the car is not running correctly with fuel system verified to be correct as pr our description and you have no error codes, then replace spark plugs and coil packs.
Coil packs often go bad on the S54 engine from old age.

Cooling related issues on E46 M3 :
-If you run any other performance radiator than PWR, remove it and replace it with OEM. There is a lot of cooling problems with so called performance radiators when the system is stressed, do not ignore this warning.
-Make sure you run OEM fan clutch and OEM fan. If you do and problem persists, replace fan clutch.

Exhaust systems :
-We have seen a lot of issues with various aftermarket exhaust systems causing significant driveability and performance issues.
When in doubt during troubleshooting reinstall OEM exhaust system and check function of car. The OEM E46 M3 exhaust system is very good.

E39 M5 :

-Always check and make sure no error codes are present.
-During kit install, replace fuel filter with new OEM fuel filter.
-Make sure vacuum line from engine vacuum rail is connected to FPR without any leaks.
-If you have more than 50k miles on the OEM fuel pump, then replace it with a new OEM fuel pump.
-Do NOT under any circumstance run any other fuel pump, especially not a 400LPH pump as this will over power the regulator system
and cause massive fuel pressure at idle and low loads which will result in poor operating performance and adaptations all over the place.
-Idle fuel pressure should be ~4.6bar when all is correct.
-If you have misfires or the car is not running correctly with fuel system verified to be correct as pr our description and you have no error codes, then replace spark plugs.
-Make sure pressure system and manifold is leak free by checking boost pressure at WOT/7000RPM.

E9x M3 :

-Make sure you have no error codes, especially for primary O2 sensor problems, if you do, then replace the affected sensor.
-Install new OEM spark plugs if you have any kind of running/performance issues and no error codes are present.
-Do not run a valved type aftermarket exhaust system. Typically these have very poor flow characteristics in closed mode and this can cause severe adaptation problems.

Exhaust systems :
-We have seen a lot of issues with various aftermarket exhaust systems causing significant driveability and performance issues.
When in doubt during troubleshooting reinstall OEM exhaust system and check function of car. The OEM E9x M3 exhaust system is very good, especially with cats removed.

Z4M :

-Always check and make sure no error codes are present.
-Do not use any other fuel pump than OEM.
-If you have any running issues and no error codes present, replace spark plugs and coils.
-Do NOT use any kind of stepped headers, this ruins the wideband O2 feedback signal and the car will have driveability issues.

Exhaust systems :
-We have seen a lot of issues with various aftermarket exhaust systems causing significant driveability and performance issues.
When in doubt during troubleshooting reinstall OEM exhaust system and check function of car. The OEM Z4M M3 exhaust system is very good.
Do NOT under any circumstance use stepped headers on a Z4M.

E60 M5 :

-Make sure you have no error codes, especially for primary O2 sensor problems, if you do, then replace the affected sensor.
-Install new OEM spark plugs if you have any kind of running/performance issues and no error codes are present.
-Do not run a valved type aftermarket exhaust system. Typically these have very poor flow characteristics in closed mode and this can cause severe adaptation problems.

N52 :

-Do NOT under any circumstance use aftermarket headers, these change the primary O2 feedback timing and will cause severe driveability issues and possibly engine failure from lack of correct fuel control.
-Replace spark plugs and coils if you have symptoms of misfires.
-Remember to disconnect the signal wire to the MAF on these kits, this is critical.
